Products

Fresh quality and added value are our top priorities when it comes to our products.

We have dedicated ourselves to becoming one of the nation’s largest suppliers of innovative and ready to eat sweet potatoes. In addition, we supply the majority of the larger brand recognized pickle manufacturers with seasonal pickling cucumbers.

Nash Produce’s inventory of fresh produce comes from our grower-owners who farm throughout eastern North Carolina. Our grower production is spread over a 200 mile radius and with some of the best soils in the world for growing the fresh vegetables we ship daily. Having such an expansive growing area helps to mitigate issues brought on by Mother Nature.

Collectively our growers devote over 10,000 acres to sweet potato production. Our growers are experienced, young and old, and all trained and educated in exceptional crop production.

Nash Produce’s experienced management team works hard to create and maintain long-term partnerships with both growers and customers.

We strive to bring only the highest quality products and service to your business.

Sweet Potatoes

At Nash Produce, our specialty is sweet potatoes. We are an experienced processor, packer, and shipper to our customers 365 days a year.
Our growers specialize in the use of the advanced micro-propagated and virus-tested certified seed program in North Carolina. As a result, we have a more consistent crop, increased yields, smoother skin and a more true-to-type sweet potato. Our family of growers have generations of experience and work diligently to produce the highest quality, hand-harvested crop possible.
At Nash Produce we offer both organic and conventional sweet potatoes. Our main variety is Covington, but we also grow other varieties and work with our customers on specialty varieties and products as needed. Each product can be purchased in USDA grades #1, #2 and Jumbos. Because all of our potatoes are electronic-sized, we have the capability of providing size-specific count packs for the food service industry from 4oz.–32oz. or counts from 28-120.
We pride ourselves in offering a variety of products to best fit your retail, foodservice, wholesale and processing needs. In addition to custom sizing, we do vast amounts of private label and custom packaging.

Cucumbers

Nash Produce’s growers produce a total of approximately 1,500 acres of pickling cucumbers for the spring and fall crops. Harvesting is all done by hand with hundreds of pickers needed. Cucumbers are shipped daily to ensure freshness and quality.
Our cucumber processing facility includes over 70,000 square feet with 2 Backus, 12 drop cucumber graders, fresh cucumber crate lines, and 2 hydro coolers. Our cucumbers are unloaded from the field trailers with water and separated according to diameter. With our equipment, a tractor-trailer load of pickling cucumbers can be graded every fifteen minutes.
For processing, pickling cucumbers can be separated into twelve grades and are sold bulk or in forty bushel bins. Fresh market pickling cucumbers are processed and placed in bins according to size graded a second time before being packed in 1 1/9 or ½ bushel crates. After packing all products are immediately run through a hydro cooler, top iced, and shipped.

Pickling Cucumbers are available as follows:
